Spontaneous redox route for gold?aryl film development of latent fingerprints on nickel coins

چکیده
Surface modifiers through redox routes emerged as the most preferred in forensic science. Aryldiazonium salts stabilized with tetrachloroaurate (III) are excellent development of latent fingerprints on nickel surfaces. Nickel coins were fingerprinted and developed a stable diazonium salt [O2N-4-C6H4N?N]AuCl4. The surfaces studied using XPS that showed presence characteristic gold organic modifier peaks. Also, imaging analysis SEM clusters gold. EDS quantitative estimated good amount compared non-fingerprinted area. Our results important spontaneous route by simply depositing solution drops surface without any additional reducing agent. This work brings strong supporting evidence for efficient combination chemistry high-performance analytical tools (XPS, SEM-EDS) fast, their morphological chemical composition assessments.

15 صفحه اولNano-scale composition of commercial white powders for development of latent fingerprints on adhesives.
Titanium dioxide based powders are regularly used in the development of latent fingerprints on dark surfaces. For analysis of prints on adhesive tapes, the titanium dioxide can be suspended in a surfactant and used in the form of a powder suspension. Commercially available products, whilst having nominally similar composition, show varying levels of effectiveness of print development, with some...
متن کاملImproved Algorithm for Separating Latent Overlapped Fingerprints
Latent Overlapped fingerprints are frequently encountered in latent fingerprints lifted from crime scenes. Overlapping occurs when the same location of an object is touched by one or more fingers several times. It is necessary to separate such latent overlapped fingerprints into component fingerprints so that existing fingerprint matchers can recognize them. In fact, fingerprint examiners usual...
